The first meeting of the new committee has taken place. Building on discussions at the AGM we focussed on ideas for improving the website, communications and encouraging new membership. There are plans afoot to look at the outsourcing of the web platform and develop a content management system and this should result in a much more up to date website and more dynamic communications. Lots of ideas for a bigger social programme and evening slide shows are back on the scene again – keep an eye out on the website for these as they are announced. The meets programme for next year is already under development with some new ideas for places and – you heard it here first – for the annual dinner next year the Jacobites will be heading to the Lake District!
